My just bought from the market Estima Emina 2.4 diesel is with the mechanic. He's changed the broken turbo for a second hand one and can't get it going properly. It starts up fine but after 5 or 10 minutes the turbo stops. It will then re start ok but shuts down again after 5-10 minutes. He says he's checked all the pipes into the turbo and they look ok. Any ideas. Thanks.

Sure it's a 2.4?

Anyway, is it electronically controlled, and has it been scanned for fault codes?

just brought a 2nd hand ct12 turbo for my 2ltr townie the exhaust manifold is the same except the old manifold had a 2 stud conection for a pipe that runs 2 the other side of the engine and the new manifold is blanked off with no hole for the pipe i have i know all i have to do is swap the manifolds over but can anybody enlighten me as why they are different thanks steve

hole is for EGR, which is only fitted to Automatics...
