We now have the new reg fron coxons in henley, to save anybody else the same hassle we had, before we found the right bit, here are the part numbers involved.

Vehicle 1990 townace super extra 4x4 turbo diesel G reg

original voltage reg part number 27700 64060. This has been superceded by part number 27700 64061...which in turn has been superceded by 27700 64100 (which is actually cheaper than 64061) hope this makes sense...good luck
