(Home) Insurance rant - home page

Hello all,
Just a personal rant about the shameful acts of a fellow motorist and something I believe we should all be aware of.

Why not use the site for personal opinions.

Mark,

For god sake go to the police, she is stringing you along & probably has no insurance anyway, you have her mobile number, you have her registration number, she has failed to provide insurance details to you (if she has none, or does not provide them, either way she is committing an offence). Get the law involved now, otherwise they will not be interested later.

Regards Rob.

As Rob says...get things moving (legally)...youv'e been more than generous with her already....it amazing the lengths people will go to to deny all responsibility (often when the evidence is overwhelmingly obvious)....I would record any further conversations

I did notify the police but they weren't interested, they said that it wasn't my responsibility to notify them of these things and that the insurance company would contact them if there were no records of insurance.

But one thing to note, I felt you only had to notify the police of a road accident if there was an injury. I have been corrected, you are meant to report any road accident to the police within 24 hrs, even without injury.

I now wait for the legal side from the insurance company to kick in.
