door open warning light is always on? i have checked all door buttons which seem to work, bringing on courtesy lamps etc. {1986 spacecruiser}any help would be welcomed.

It is not so much as a door open light but more a door unlocked light. Press the door lock button on the drivers door panel and the rear ans slide door should lock and the light go out. If not the tailgate lock needs attention perhaps contacts need cleaning?
