temp gauge sender unit , where is it ? its not on the top hose manifold I cant find it on the head. my gauge is working intermitantly. maybe short ?`or bad earth but am unable to find sender unit. Deisel 2 c engine.
Oh and what cc is this engine.also want to convert from columb change to floor change gear stick

Sender is on the head, approx above the starter location. Best viewed from underneath, especially if the starter is removed

Hi Dave
Temp sender is plced on the left hand side of the cylinder head just above the starter. check the terminal on the sender. If you place it directly to earth and the gauge goes to the high side you will know its the sender these can be purchased from your main toyota dealer as mine went faulty.
(It may be easier to remove the starter to change)
