i am sorry if this sounds a bit silly but does any one know of a site that sells townaces

Not silly Lesley, you have probably asked at the most informed forum on the Internet, where members know of dealers local to them in various parts of the country.
Where are you? In Derby there are two Japanese vehicle importers and they include Townaces in their range. Have a look at Ebay, ie, Automotive, Toyota, Townace etc. There are a number for sale at the moment.
The online Autotrader website, ie, www.autotrader.co.uk will show lots of Townaces, both private and dealer sales, all over the country and this might be the best place to start.
