Had to remove vertical radiator on Townace Super extra 2 ltr turbo diesel 4wd to renew a dodgy leaking joint. Bit of a struggle to get the rad out, but found that by moving the two metal pipes - one about 3/4", other about 1/2" next to the rad just below the driver's seat helped (later found it was not necessary) . Both pipes were completely empty, and I've no idea whatsoever what they are for. Presumably something to do with the AC ? Have I inadvertently disturbed something that should have been left well alone ? All that work simply 'cos someone used inferior quality jubillee clips when the newish rad was fitted.Methinks a lesson to be learned here.

Yes Gordon I think they are the A/C pipes you are referring to.
