Does anyone know haw to check the output from the alternator while its still fix the the engine, I replaced everything in it apart from the windings and my dash board lights are still on, I've check the fuseable link near the battery and the fuses behind the drivers seat under the bulk head panel and the fuses in front of the cooler box. the vehicle is a Masterace surf auto 4x4.

Well, the output is on the big wire with the threaded terminal. But I'd reckon your problem is with the regulator, look under the centre of the dash beside the glovebox.
