'G'Reg/Lite-ace/1500/petrol/rad size:-13" x 20" (re-cored)

Well firstly thanks to all involved in this very helpful site, it's nice to know I'm not alone with all these problems.

After many head gasket changes due to various problems over the years I've decided to bite the bullet and go for the full electric cooling fan conversion, I have already spoken to Pacet about a 12" profan kit and from what I can gather it will have an air movement of 1640 cfm and will draw approx.12 Amps.
So I would like to know the following:-

1-Will this fan be more power than required?(more cost than required)
2-Will I have any problems with the amp draw?(I am generally more concerned with the wiring rating and alternator capability etc..)

I have trawled through the ace archives but don't always find relevance to Lite-ace's. Would anyone who has done this type of conversion tell me what product you fitted and how well it performed and anything unexpected that happened?

I would be very greatful for any advice.
