We own a van grade Town Ace (looks more like a Lite Ace). The hand-brake warning light keeps coming on when going round a right hand bend! The hand brake itself is well and truely off, so I thought it must have another function looking at a brake fluid level. I've looked at the fluid level in the container just to the right of the steering wheel and this is full. Is there another brake fluid container? or am I looking at another problem all together?
Thanks - John

Snap. I've got exactly the same problem .... but haven't yet found the cause, so will be most interested to see any other replies.

Even though the brake fluid looks OK, put another drop in...

A long shot but look at the proximity of the switch to the camber on the handbrake lever. Is it nearly touching and possible it could be making contact under certain conditions. Can't recall if it is adjustable - should be.

Ian is probably spot on as mine was playing up for years, In me case the handbrake was not quite seating properly. I discovered this when I was changing my gearstick sock/cover and found out I only had two threads left on the brake cable (Phew!)An easy job if I hadn't had to spend 3 hours lying under the van drilling out a rusted retaining bolt :)
