(Home) Airconditioner belt adjustment

I have a 1981 hiace with original Nippon Denso airconditioning.
I have just put in a new drivebelt and have adjusted the tension as I have in other vehicles but the idler pully does not line up with the other pullys.
Is there, buried in all that oil and grease down there, a second adjuster (perish the thought).

If it's the same as our Townaces then there's only one adjuster. Amid all the grease and dirt, the bolt securing the adjuster pulley bearing goes into a small block which slides along behind a slot. Underneath you access a long bolt to pull this block across before you tighten the pulley bolt.

It's worth cleaning it up and having a look because if the little block is not sitting correctly in the slot then the idler pulley will sit at the wrong angle.

My a/c belt is so tight that I usually remove the whole idler assembly every time because it makes it easier to get the belt on and reassemble the idler afterwards.
