almost own the townie for a whole week now, and small problem with the starter motor could hear solinoid clicking in but no noise from the motor stripped it down and found motor power supply terminals wearing very thin, cleaned them up and adjusted the height of the terminals. back togeather now all fine. but if anyone has anyone has an old starter motor kicking about i would love to pay for the two terminals instead of the whole motor!!! shes a 2liter TD 1990 build. Also dose anyone know a reason why there are two wires hanging from the bottom of the fuel filter housing, with a connector near by looking like where they came from ???

Water-in-fuel float switch...

You can buy the starter contacts at your local autoelectricians, or indeed the dealer!
