(Home) Hiace wagon ecu diagnostics plug

Hi there Acer's.
Can anyone tell me where the ECU diagnostics plug connection is located on a 1991 Hiace Wagon Super Custom 2.4 Diesel Turbo? And is there any type of fault code reader that can be aquired to do a test? I'm sorry to say that I dont even know where to obtain the fault code info! So any help would be greatfully received.
The Bok hasn't failed me yet, so here's hoping.

Thanks guys!

Not 100% but I didn't think there was one for the Toyota diesels of this age. It's the EFI systems that have the diagnostics socket.

If it's a 2.4 LE or LTE, it will have an electronic pump. In this case it'll probably have a diagnostic socket, but you won't need a codereader. Simply a case of shorting the right two wires together to read blink codes off the dash.

But if the engine type doesn't have an "E" in it, it's totally mechanical.

You probably know by now.. Its in the battery compartment behind the passenger seat

My 1991 2.8 (3L Engine) has a mechanical pump but there is an emissions ECU. The diag plug for that plus the auto box and TEMS is located just in front of the battery undet a black plastic cover.
