(Home) Speedometer pulse needed for sat nav

hi there
can anyone help i have a vdo dayton sat nav and it req a speed pulse conected to the dash or speedo some were can anyone help many thanks graham

If it's TEMS it might have a pulse sender already, but on a mechanical speedo drive. Follow the speedo cable up from the gearbox...

Alternatively, someone else with a TEMS- equipped vehicle might be able to verify. If not, you can get inline converters that splice into the speedo drive cable. Try deemon tweeks, or any of the other motorsport suppliers.

Not sure about this. IIRC there are two sensors for the TEMS operation, one detects braking, the other steering and somehow from that information it works out what mode to put the shocks in - hard or soft. I don't think there is a speed pulse involved and as David says the speedo is operated mechanically via a cable from the gearbox to the back of the speedo.
