(Home) Brake pads, holes/springs missing at top

I have got replacement front barke pads for my 93 Townace (CR30)from Toyota, based on my frame number. The replacement pads are part no 04465-28330, is this correct? The new pads are identical to the existing pads EXCEPT there is a 2mm hole at each end in the top of each of the existing pads. These holes locate two springs between the top of each set of pads... the new pads have no holes (!!) and, though I think the spring only prevents rattling, I am loathed to fit without the springs... Any/ all advice welcome!!

Yes they are anti rattle springs, surprised Toyota ones have them missing, the ones I got from Toyota had new springs included.
Just drill the holes yourself?

If they're undrilled I'd say that Toyota had decided to do away with the pulloff springs.

I ditched those springs on my first pad change to no ill- effects, BTW

Thanks to both for replies.. Toyota have now supplied different pads (with holes, and lugs for shims - also missing on other pads) Part ref No 04465 - 28190, no new springs though!!
