Hi,
I'm exporting a 1996 Townace to Europe and am in the unusual position of having to remove an electronic speed converter. I've located the unit behind the speedo. The 'un-wiring' appears straightfoward enough as the factory configuration colour coding is still visible. Thought crossed my mind though: the Townace is an auto (2.2 3C-T) and I wondered if there would have been any adjustment made elsewhere when the speedo went from km>mph so that the gear changes come in at the right speed. Hopefully the gearchanges are not linked to the speedo feed ....

Nope, AFAIK even the last of the townies as we know them have a purely mechanical tranny.

Removed the unit this morning - all works fine.
