(Home) Powersteering belt

the end of june i had the fan belts snapped so s thought i would replace all the belts while i was in the engine compartment but two to o i had the power steering belt snapped so i replaced it but on the way home tonight it snapped again does anyone know why?and while i'm on here the steering pulls to the left quite bad (but both tyres wear on the outside)had the tracking and all the angles checked out again does anyone have any ideas thanks

First things first- pulling to the left/ tyres wearing on the outside? Have the tracking done again, this time have it set to the "toe-out" side of the spec. the spec is neutralish, but on our heavily cambered roads at the speeds we drive at you need a touch of toe-out. Plus do a tyre rotation, back to front.

Re the belt, Was it tensioned OK- any chance it could've tried to jump off the pulleys? Is the steering fluid fresh? If both these check out, the pulleys line up correctly etc, there's always a chance that a stone was flung into the belt, ot it was just a duffer...

The belts all run quite close to each other. Check that the fan belts really are tight and not bouncing against the PS belt when running.
