(Home) Bull bars (clive might know this one)

Clive - I'm asking you as I know you used to have a Spacecruiser, or anyone.

Would a Bull Bar that fitted a Spacecruiser fit a Townace?

A nice lady from London phoned me and said that she read AceAnswers and wants our Bull Bars. She also has a Townace and says they are cute!!!!!

The power of AceAnswers is truly working then!

Thanks for any replies. Jo

The only problem I can think of would be the bumper. On the Townace I think the bumper is further forward than the Spacecruiser, also the nose cone is not as stubby, having said that there was plenty of clearance on the Spacecruiser. The fixing points are the same, may require some new bottom brackets to give the extra reach, which should not be to difficult.
Anyone fitted Spacecruiser BullBars?

The answer is yes. I have a 1989 Royal Lounge fitted with a Spacecruiser Bull Bar. It is a tight fit and is up against the front bumper but that is not a problem because I fitted rubber pads between the Bull Bar and bumper to stop any damage to the paint surface on the bumper.

Hi Joanna,

Me again. If you do fit a bull bar to your Townie then you should let your insurance company know as some insurance companies will argue that it is a body modification or an added cost to the insurance company if the vehicle is involed in an insurance claim. Some insurance companies might charge a higher premium if you have bull bars or other 'extras' added such as a DVD system or expensive stereo.

Hi Bill

Thank you for letting us know as it is us getting the bullbars from Joanna. Now we have the added problem on heow to get them to us! As I arranged for Parcel post to pick them up yesterday and paid for everything then they refused when they got there with a feeble excuse of being to big. And I was more worried about the weight well there you go....

I have already told insurance and they are OK about it.

Any ideas on any good couriers that are not too expensive?

Best wishes.
