When I needed to replace my top hose, I took it into my local factors and they tried to do a match. Ended up with something much too long but managed to cut out the piece I needed to fit.

Depends upon how helpful your factors are - it took him a good 10 minutes to come up with a near match. Not that cheap either but it meant I was mobile again the same day.

I had a heater and top radiator hose burst when I was on the M6 a year ago. I had no problems getting the radiator hose from my Toyota dealer and I was back on the road the following day. Heater hose I got from my local Motor Factor and due to the age of my Townie I renewed all the heater hoses. Bottom radiator hose had been renewed by previous owner at some time.

The easiest way is to use universal hose, ie, the ribbed type which allows you to bend the hose into the shape/profile required. In the UK, Halfords or similar type motor factors, stock this hose in various diameters. It is not really necessary to have the exact hose but, if really required, the universal hose can be used until the genuine item is available.

Don't know if Toyota Au work to the same ethos, but in the UK if you state that the vehicle is off road (VOR) until the replacement parts are fitted, they get them sent airmail at no extra cost to you.
Worth a go?
