(Home) Turbo oil feed

Could anyone advise please. The Townace turbo has an oil feed to the bearings. Does it have an oil return, or, is the feed/pressure, contained within the turbo bearing housing with, no doubt, some fairly minimal oil loss into the turbo or exhaust impeller? Without a bit of a strip down, I can't see a return pipe though I can trace the feed. If there is a return, where is it likely to return to on the lube pipe/passage layout?
Any comments much appreciated. Thanks

John, the return is via a gravity drain, there's a 3/4" or so hose comes down from the turbo and it fits onto a spigot on the side of the sump as I recall.

Thanks David, I thought that there had to be some sort of return. I'm being a bit lazy and, as you know, you have to be a bit of a contortionist without the seat/floorpan lifted. I seem to have a slight oil weep so I shall do the job properly tomorrow.

John, I could be wrong, but I'll guess that your leak is from the feed pipe, you'll probably find that the crimp at one or other end of the flexy section has slackened/ hose has softened. I know that on mine, the flexy was loose enough to rotate on it's fittings until oil pressure forced it to seal. That resulted in a slow ooze noticeable at the union where the flexy attaches to the hard pipe on the turbo. A new hose was about £50 IIRC although a local hydraulics specialist might be able to remake the original item with a new bit of flexi for less...

Job done and, yes, in fact, there was some weeping from the drain back to the sump, now rectified. On the next major job I will check/replace these hoses which, normally, are hidden away and fairly inaccessible. Thanks for the advice.
