1991 H reg Townace 2.0 TD Auto drives fine locally with no loss of water.
On the motorway over the penines it goes down a gear on the hill a few times after that it loses water heater goes cold temp. goes up. I have to stop and water (steam ) is coming out of the overflow pipe. I fill up couple of litres and go its OK.
This has happened twice..

rad cap, viscous coupling, slight leak elsewhere in the system.
Or a head problem.
Check the rad cap first, it might be worth drilling a couple of holes in the 'stat too...
See, the problem is it's a vicious circle. System pressure increases the boiling point of the coolant. Anything which replaces coolant with air will make the water boil easier. etc.

1. start a new thread
2. go to your local factors for the bearing. Should be around £30. 2wd ones are the same as the spacecruiser, 4x4 ones are same as Euro YR21 Liteace
