Hi all,
I have a 1991 Townace Super Extra 2.0L TD 4WD with a manual gearbox (and Towbar fitted!)
I would like to use it as the family towcar but am unsure as to the actual weight of the Townie. Has anybody already put a similar Townie onto a weighbridge/know what the kerbweight is?
The main reason for my question is that to accommodate our growing family we are thinking of replacing our (20 year) old caravan with a much newer (and heavier!) Twin Axle jobbie.
Has anybody pulled a similar sized van behind their townie and if so is it practicable - I know it won't be fast!
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Kev

Townie is around 1600kg IIRC

Thanks David,
I thought the townie was nearer the 2 tonne mark than that - will make it a bit tight to pull a Twin Axle Caravan then - may have to think again!
