(Home) Breakers, Abbey, Erith, Kent

Hello all,
Just brought a G 93 Townace 2ltr Td, never owned one before or had much dealings with them. Could someone please tell me what should be inbetween the drivers seat and the passager seat as in mine there is a space and on the carpet between the seats there are 4 fixings to fix something down. What should be there ? if anything at all ?. Forgive my ignorance but i think the car is great and would really like to know.

Thanks Dan

Gear lever ? But, do you mean behind the gear lever?
If you look on Ebay, ie, Automotive/Townace, you will see some vehicles for sale where the owners have kindly provided pictures of the interiors. You will see that behind the gear lever is a cubby hole with a further, "glove box" with a lift up lid, behind that. From memory I think that this unit is bolted down with four fixings.

Thanks John, it was glove box/arm resty thing. Luckly my local breakers had a townace in, and managed to get one from there plus all the curtains, curtain tracks and the floor heater clips i needed for £20.
Not to bad me thinks.

Dan, that was excellent especially the curtains etc. These seem to be a much sought after item. Incidentally, it's always helpful to know where there is a Townace being broken. If you could give location, it might help some other owners.

As per john suggestion and as i'm new and didn't think of it myself, There is a Townace in Abbey Breakers in Erith, Kent. A lot of the Engine parts are missing, as are the Wing Mirrors (Bugger as i need a Near side one),Elec Window motors, Glove Box / Arm resty thing, Dashboard and the Head lights and indicators ( as it's been in a front end prang ) and the sliding door had seen better days to.
But seats and other interior items are all fine plus the rear lights are still there plus other things (Curtains and tracks not included) that other people might need. Also in there store they have a Starter Motor dont know how much they will rush you for it though.

Nothing to add other than - Abbey Breakers best one in the World. Used them a lot when I lived in Belvedere.
