(Home) Dealing with EGR

h'i there again.
i am now replacing the turbo on my townace 2c,
and was wondering if it is ok to remove the pipe which runs from the rear of the exhaust manifold around the rear of the engine to a round metal valve which is attached to the inlet manifold with vaccuum pipes fitted to it.
or do i blank the exhaust manifold and take the rest of the pipe off and blank the round metal valve off as well.
many thanks for all the help i've had on this site,
i'ts great that some people will take the time for this sort of thing.

regards.

If you want less hassle during the rebuild, pull the lot off and fabricate two blanking plates. If you just wish to stop the EGR from working, pull the vacuum hose off the actuator...
