Could anyone tell me how or what URL I need to use to post a picture with a message? I've not noticed any picture links with other messages before.

We get one every month or so! That feature only allows you to point to the URL of a picture published separately. There is no facility within this forum for accepting pictures themselves, only the URL. You have to be able to publish them on a web server yourself, then you will know what URL you have used. Small amounts of webspace for this sort of thing are available free, try your ISP.

In passing it's worth knowing that the related feature here, "Link URL", is faulty in that the link will disappear when the next posting is added to the thread. So it is of some use but it's best to put the link URL within the text of your posting where it will be preserved.

Thanks for the information Dave. Luckily we have a web site I could use to do that. As you may have read already, I'm in the middle of working out which way to go with an overheating problem and thought posting some pictures might save me many words in the very near future!
