(Home) mot good news

Just put my 15 year old Townace in for it's MoT.
I had done some checks but got diverted to my Climate Control problem, did not even check the tyre pressures.
So I know that the near side upper ball joint is worn a little - no mention.
The wheel bearings could do with adjusting - no mention.
Emission test loads of comment - a mean value of 0.78 - that's my chip shop oil fuel for you!
One advisory of a small blow in the hump of the exhaust that goes over the axle - PowerFlow here I come. Anyone know how to get a discount?

Hi Clive!
Congrats on the MOT .. I hope mine is as good ,...
I've always wanted to try the chip shop veggy oil approach .. can you tell me how i can get started ?
I'm a handy diy-er, no more ....
I read that you can use it neat but filtered, at about 70/30 in favour of the fish grease .. right?
Can you answer to my emial too please ?

Hi Clive,

You beat me by 0.01 on the smoke test. My 2.8 Hiace just had the first MOT (for me) and came out 0.79 on the smoke-o-meter.

Better then the test cert I had from import (0.84) and thats after 20,000 miles in a year. It must have been the 1800 mile run to the south of France that blow all the junk out !
