Hello All,
I'm a newbie with a (great!) 3C-T 1993 2.2 Diesel Auto.
I wonder if you can help with disabling the egr. I have read all the helpful comments about this on ace answers and i have decided to do it. I think i will do the easiest job first and just block the vacuum line. (my electrical valve is located next to another one in front of the engine).
If I say i will disconnect it at the egr end and crimp it, leaving the egr rigid pipe open to atmosphere and the elecrical connection to the solenoid intact , will this cause ''shock horror' amongst you experts??!!
When i get round to it and have a bit more knowledge, I'll maybe take off the assembly and make the couple of blanking pieces for the manifolds but I'm a bit scared to that now...
My reason for doing this early is to prevent bulid-up of soot in the inlet manifold and ensure smooth flow through that area.
Any comments/advice would be very welcome
Peter

Yes Peter your plan is perfectly valid. It's what I did with mine. However, the damage will have already been done, by way of the gunge build up in the inlet manifold. At least by disabling it now it won't get any worse.
