I recently did a head change, and took the opportunity to fit new belts all round. Some 2000 miles later, I've been getting a fan belt squealing noise. Obviously too loose - but how tight should the various belts be ? i.e a reasonable amout of slack / about the same as a "normal" fan belt, or as taught as a guitar string ?

Umm, I take it then that you *don't* have a copy of the manual?
spec is roughly 1.2" at 10kg load. Or, you can go with just tight enough that they don't slip...
