(Home) bok

Just a thankyou to Mark, Dave B and Dave M, for all the effort following the loss of the BOK over the weekend.
I am able to view this Board at work the other ones are blocked by the work's internet policies -
so long live the BOK!
Dave M (owner of Ace Answers), asks do we need to archive future postings, I would say yes but what do you think?

I would say a Definite Yes to archiving future postings. The more information everyone has advaliable the better.

I'm glad to see this back with no ads, popups, registration or ego-boosting pics and nicknames.

It may be an old-fashioned format but at least we can read a whole thread at once which is vital when trying to digest some of the complicated discussions, unlike the temporary substitute at http://pub8.bravenet.com/forum/623921753 (unless I missed an option there).

If it means better access for Clive that's got to be worth a lot to all of us.

Archiving? A couple of years ago I programmed my computer in a very eccentrix-specific way to delve into the BoK and update the Ace Answers pages with very little manual interaction. So archiving a different forum would mean starting again to develop the software but I suspect doing it for eccentrix was easier than it might be for some of the newer, whizzier forums. Even if the BoK stays with eccentrix my concern about continuing to archive is that all those threads, some still with unhelpful titles, can make it harder to find an answer rather than easier.
