Hi Steve,

To answer your question, no, David does not run the site, but he is a major contributor to the board of knowledge, despite having sold his Townie a while back, his knowledge of these vehicles is probably second to none & his contributions are invaluable to other owners. There are others such as myself who also know a thing or two about these vehicles, and you will see our names crop up as well.

The site is owned & run by Mark, who's name is at the top of this page. There is also the Ace Answers site listed at the top, run by Dave, who has collated much of the content contributed onto the BoK into another site for reference purposes.

There are a number of other site links dotted around, including mine, so you can look at conversions, modifications & repairs.

Happy viewing.

Regards Rob.

H'i Rob,
It's nice to know who owns the site, and it's run very well.
I have had some invaluable information and it has helped me rebuild my Townie top end, fuel pump, turbo etc, etc.
I have also replied to some threads and hope i've helped someone else out.
The other thing is who pays for it and how can we donate to it.
Thanks to all who helped me.

Regards.
René

Have a look at the "Supported by owners for owners" page on Ace Answers.

Hello René,

the site you are on at the moment, the eccentrix / BoK, site is run and owned by me. When I was looking around for effective transport for my family of 6 there was very little in my budget until I found the Masterace, which I no longer have. I kept it for about 4/5 yrs and cost me £4,000 to buy and a further £2,000 18 months after originally buying when it bent a con rod, destroyed the turbo and was hit whilst being repaired.

When I bought it, I found very little information about them, and even the net information was scarce and so the Bok was born. It has been running ever since and is a totally free site for all users. It does cost me a nominal fee to increase the bandwidth due to the popular page you're on at the moment. I wouldn't charge any fee for it's use as visitors contribute freely to it which adds to the community feel.

Even now after nearly 2 years without my Masterace I still enjoy coming back to read the postings from others and I am glad to say that other visitors that have parted company with their Townace hybrid also pay regular returns to share their experience and knowledge.
