(Home) problem with the bok

Now that's two posts I've noticed that appear to reference a subject heading midway down the thread and only count replies from that point. So how does that work then? A glitch or has someone changed the code ?

there may be a problem with the 'this form' link. Mark?

Yes, I noticed that something odd is going on. Note that in the index the thread is listed by the fresh subject, not the [old] subject at the top of the thread page. Note also that around 23 Feb the BoK re-started the thread numbering (this thread's address is #76.html). Note that the old thread at the top of this one is probably a thread that Mark deleted, and I can't find, in Ace Answers Archives, the other two rogue threads to which Ian refers, so they may have been "deleted" too.

So it looks as if the BoK is re-using early thread numbers for some reason, almost as baffling as a Townace charging system. Still at least you won't get cold fingers investigating it, Mark.

In case it helps:
On Monday 21st Feb
"Need urgent help re starting problem" at 12:31pm Bok time became thread #15510
"Repairs" at 12:46 Bok time became thread #1

Dave, I just knew you wouldn't be able to resist getting involved :-)

Maybe the system could do with a purge. Probably something that only the eccentrix admins can do though?

If archives are wanted then I have to get involved. If this sort of fault occurs much then it will throw the archiving process into chaos.

Another symptom I found is that if you manually go to thread #15511.html you get the same result as #1.html.

Its down to Mark or Eccentrix.
