Dear Steve,
Yes it is possible to tow a folding camper with your Townie as long as you nurture it along. If you keep the speed below 100k and change right down when you get any sign of temperature rise. I am hooking my folding camper up on Sunday and heading south about 300 miles
Happy camping
ps I had my tow bar fitted by a local mobile fitter cost me 220 pounds and took him four hours to fit.

.. and when you say "any sign of temperature rise", Joyce, that's with the temperature gauge modifed to improve the way it reads, isn't it? - Ace Answers mod fitted.

Hi Steve,

Further to the above, after much soul searching and careful inspection of all cooling systems (and fitting of Dave Mason Alarm) I recently finally took the plunge and hooked up my Twin Axle caravan to the Townie and took it for a trip into Wales with heart in mouth and eyes glued to the temp guage.

Result.... Townie performed faultlessly - albeit a little slow going up hills! (Needed first gear to get up one....grin!!)

As long as you are not in a rush to get to your destination it should cope with folding camper ok.
