(Home) child seats

Which child safety seats would you recommend for my 4 year old daughter in a Townace?

I'd ideally like something that secures with the diagonal belt, but has it's own straps to clip her in. She's just outgrown a Britax Elite & I was looking at the Britax Trio.

Also, is it possible to fit a diagonal belt to the inner seats? The outer ones all have them, but as we use all but one of the seats it means one of the children travelling with just a lap belt.

I was impressed with the Britax that we had. At about the age of 4/5 my youngster was pretty tall for his age and we found a booster seat was sufficient. These child seats don't come cheap so you have to ask yourself how much use are you going to get out of another one. Do you hang on to the one you have a bit longer then use a booster or is another seat a viable investment - your call.

If you want to put the diagonal type belts in the rear seats, it is possible to have them retro-fitted. A number of contributers to this site have either done it themselves or had them fitted. There should be a number of posts in the archives covering how and what to do.

I think Julie is talking about the middle seats?

Yeah I gathered that. Rear to me means anything behind the driver's seat :-)
