(Home) part no for a master clutch cylinder

Hi all,

As some of you may have read in my other post, thanks to me and my need fiddle i have buggered me master clutch Cylinder on my 92K Rwd Manual Townie.

So as i mentally prepare myself for taking out all the dash board (and hoping that it will go back in ok) i was wondering if any one could supply me with the part number or are the Cylinders the same no matter what style and age the Beloved Bus is ??

And Clive, as i have no torque wrench to tighten the Union bolt thingy with, is it ok for me just to tighten the livin hell out of it, or will that cause me problems.

I know im a pain, but thanks Guys.

Toyota parts numbers are 04311-60080 master cylinder overhaul kit, or if you think the whole thing needs replacing 31420-28092. A local factors may be able to cross reference the part numbers as they fit a number of vehicles. I suspect the whole thing from Toyota will be a second mortgage!
Do you need to remove the union nut? You will need new gaskets if you do, 2 of 90430-16242, and tight will do, over tighten and the cylinder housing will crack!

Clive your a real star, thanks for that.

Think i will go for 2 of the 90430-16242 and try to repair it (If its broke allready i cant make it much worse can i ?)

Just getting hold of some of the little slippery devils.

Still wished i never twiddled in the first place though.

Cheers
