(Home) bleedin clutch trouble

As some of you may have read in previous post, i've had some clutch trouble. And thanks to people like clive have managed to overhaul and replace my master clutch cylinder. (I shall spare everyone the fun i had taking out the complete dash (oh my)).

OK guys this is where i desperatly need some more of your guidence please.

Nice overhauled master cylinder back in the van (which once repaired i sort of tested it by pushing the push rod in, and it was sucking air in ok at the union bolt side and was pushing air out of the other side just fine to, all seemed sealed and fine)

Now when i'm bleedin it, the nipple on the slave cylinder half a turn loose, pumping away on the clutch no fluid is being drained from the resivour and nothing is coming out of the slave cylinder.

Any ideas guys ?? could it be some sort of air lock ??
If i manually pump the slave cylinder still no fluid from there.

Also just above the slave cylinder there is a thingy which is connected to the gear box which then runs in to the slave cylinder which also has a bleed nipple on it, what is it ?? do i need to bleed this ??

Please guys any advise much appreciated as i an't got a scooby doo (Clue)

The item you refer to is termed an "accumulator" in Toyotaspeak, and is fitted to diesels only. Looking at the parts illustration it seems that you could indeed be getting an airlock there- try bleeding to it first, and ensure all it's connections are tight.

Hmm, just looked at this accumulator jobbie, and it's got a diaphragm, plunger, and spring kinda thing goin' on. I'm guessing it's some kind of antijudder device. (to stop the slave from moving too fast or slow?)

Your problems might be there. Dunno, there's very little experience of manual transmission townies, hen's teeth they are...

I can't help either as the Spacecruiser did not have this extra jobbie.
