(Home) Townace camper conversion

Has anyone converted a townace to a camper or know if this would be possible?

All things are possible.
Yes the seats can be used as a bed, but that leaves very little room for any thing else.
Stuart has removed the nearside rear seat and put in a small burner and made himself a one man and 2 dog camper, ok for him but no good for two or more people.

Thanks for the mention Clive,Sharon if you do use the seats as a bed may i advise you to get or make 2 wedges of foam to fit in the contours of the seats,as Clive said I removed the nearside rear seat & made a wee unit to sit my cooker on & store odds& end underneath.I am at oresent considering selling my townie & getting a transit semi hi.But if I keep with the townie this year I am going to take all seats out & get a couple of 3'seat units out of a caravan & make a wee frame out of 2x1 batton, this will give you a bed approx 27" wide, allowing 17" for your cooker unit you can just make a do using under the bed for storage. For power I use a "JUMP START" for an inspection light & a wee tele, charging it of the fag liter the next day,if you want mains power tho the safest way is almost the expensive way get a mobile consumer unit on a 25metre sable from a carvan dealer, around £80 but [a] they are fitted with an RCD,[b] they have 3 outlet plugs on so you could use a standard battery charger to boost a leisure battery for a bit of wild camping.
Whatever you decide to do enjoy your selve I had 14 weeks away last year rain sun & snow.
