This forum is fabulous for information ans expertise
but everything seems to point to Townies and diesel engines.

Is a space cruiser with a 3Y engine in a class of it's own and that applies to a normally aspirated engine too.

I got a repair manual CD as avertised on eBay, unfortunately it did not point out that it was for EFI engines only....very handy if you have petrol injection but not if you have a carburettor.

I always said my Spacecruiser was in a class of it's own!

The 3Y was fitted to Liteace and Hiace vans along with Cressida and Camry saloons, probably more.

The Townace petrol engine is indeed electronic injection, as is the US Toyota Van (US Spacecruiser), don't know if that engine version ever appeared in a UK model.
