I had my alternator rebuilt and it was okay for 24 hours.

When I started up today the battery light didn't go out but remained at half brightness alons with a lions cage icon on the RHS of dash and car with doors closed on the top of dash. Also my full tank of petrol is only now registering half a tank.
The revs have gone up to 200 rpm and the engine diesels after shutting off.

Now this happened before but the revs died before the alternator was repaired.

I found a faulty fuse marked ENGINE replaced it and all was okay. But I have checked the fuses and all seem to be okay.

So unless anyone has a bright idea it will have to go back into the workshop tomorrow.

checked if fan belt slack and air hoses on right

had a look at my dash the car on top is a boot not locked warning and the lion cage is the water level warning so they might not relate to revs
