On my 88 Cruiser the dash has a symbol just above the
3 on the rev counter....it looks like a vehicle with the doors closed similar to the open door symbol.

What is it for anyone it stays on when I am driving.

Door not locked, I think it only refers to the rear and side doors on the Spacecruiser. The tailgate lock can get very dirty, I drown mine in WD40 or the similar every now and then, solved the dash light problem on my Spacecruiser, never had a problem with the Townace one.
