(Home) glow plug light

mmmmmmm - me again with my 1993 2.2 Townie 3-CT
I've fixed the aircon problem ... not a problem really ... just inexperience!
Now I can't get rid of the glowplug light problem. It comes on ok when starting, and goes off as usual. Then it comes on intermittently when driving... annoying because I don't know why ... Does it double up as a level indicator for something? I only ask because it seems to come on when going round roundabouts ... stupid, I know but does anyone have any idea .... The only fiddling i did recently was with the aircon pulley and with the idleup linkage and idle settings.
Grateful for this site as ever..

PS - No apparent running differences ..

Doesn't have any other function than to indicate when to switch on. The glowplug light is in line between the starter switch and the pre-heat timer with a couple of fuses and connection to earth thrown in as well. I can only guess at a dodgy connection somewhere hence it only occuring when going round roundabouts etc. I wouldn't worry about it too much, but if really a worry, try cleaning and/or breaking/remaking connections on the preheat timer and the dash bulb and if you can trace them - the earth connections.

Thanks, Ian... No running problems, so i'll adopt the philosophy 'if it ain't too bad leave it alone till it is'
As part of my pre-holiday checks, I pushed a few relay connectors and a few bayonet connectors just to make sure ... and i guess i might have been counter-productive ...
Thanks again
Will post some pics of the townie in Ukraine and Poland on the blogspot
