(Home) windscreen types

I need a new windscreen for my Townie. Mine is the post facelift 93 version with the Toyota squiggle logo, but I've seen one for an older shape 91 with Toyota written across the front headlamp unit. Was the shape of the windscreen changed at the facelift and is there any way of recognising different types.

The closest I can see is a few letters in the bottom corner. Mine says NSG M4E1 while my potential donor has NSG M491. Is this relevant or is it just a japanese standards mark. Unfortunately insurance isn't an option as I'm currently 3PFT and the MOT is due before the insurance renewal so upgrading isn't really a possibility.

my 3pft insurance does include the windscreen and all glass so it might be worth you checking

In partial answer to my own question, having seen a windscreen for the earlier version Townie out of the van it appears that the two are substantially different. The windscreen for the earlier version has two small hemisherical cut-outs along the bottom edge for where the wipers attach. The facelifted version appears (I haven't pulled off the trim yet to confirm) to have a straight bottom edge.

Ah well, the search goes on. Unfortunately CIS don't cover windscreens for 3PFT. Out of interest, Jon, who are you with?
