want to check the fuel lines but have no clue where they are? mystery desil world.

Sure it's smoke, not steam?
Fuel filter is under the passenger seat, under the big hose from the aircleaner...

the big oil filter looking thing? is a fuel filter?
what can I do to it? clean or replace?
- (#887) paul, 23 Apr 05 10:52
Paul. Someone else obviously does your maintenance because the "water in fuel filter" warning light would have come on long ago if it has not been drained. If you have not got the engine manual, Part No RMO25E, It's one of the best tools you can have and there is a lot about the fuel/filter/pump system. The manual is less that a tenner and your local Toyota dealer should be able to supply it

oho! some one else eh! well have you seen the fuel filter in a vw combi they are tiny compared to that monster. I have a 2ct engine manual full of torque settings and dwell angles not much on fuel filters or maintenence schedules. "water in fuel filter" warning light looks like a what? be helpful here come on , should I whip it off and clean it or just replace it. ;-)
