(Home) TEMS

probebly a silly question, but how does the tems system work????
is it controlled by a switch or by the ecu??

It has it's own little ECU, it picks up data from vehicle speed, brake pedal switch & steering angle sensor, then uses these to decide if the suspension should go hard or remain soft. The brakes always makes it go hard, unless you are going very slowly. Hard cornering or sudden steering movement causes hard suspension, dependent on speed.

Exactly as Rob says and the signal generated, operates a rotary solenoid on top of the special dampers. This allows the fluid transfer, within the damper, to be restricted (Hard setting) or standard (Soft setting)

Where would i find the ECU as my Tems as never worked since ive had the motor ,about 4 years. I say it has never worked, well the lights on the dash dont light up and the suspension doesn't seem to change at all. I'm thinking maybe ECU faulty or disconnected, is there any way to check?
