(Home) Engine number

Where can I find the motor no of my townace? Is it included in the piece of metal under the driver seat? I just notice the engine type writtem there. Please help... i need it for the registration next month. Thanks

Oh dear. Left hand side of the engine (so under the hinged floor side) and it's damn near impossible to see from any angle. You might ask your mechanic to look as it might need the starter removed to see it clearly...

Gee Thanks... i need to take out the whole engine block every year to register my townie... i saw the exact location in the manual posted in this forum.

No, not every year (you can write it down, can't you?), and no, you don't have to remove the engine. If you're lucky, you *might* be able to see it using a torch and a mirror.

Or you could do what plenty of other people have done and where it asks for an engine number, write 2C...

In the philippines, we need to register our vehicle annually and motor no. and chassis no. should be stenciled on the form.

I found the Engine Number!!! it in the left side alright behind the fuel injection pump... so hard to see... thanks again guys!
