HELP!!!!I have a 1992 diesel 2wd manual townace. I can get all forward gears with no problem. I cannot get reverse without a lot of fiddling! Problem came on suddenly without any warning eg noises. Have checked underneath to see if anything has come adrift but did not find anything that looked wrong. Has anybody got any technical details of the gearbox innards or any ideas of wot could be wrong.

gearchange cables? Probably the same setup as the Van, so downloading the requisite part of the Van manual might be a start...

Check the archives. there's a link to the Van usergroup in the 'States, one of those guys has the manual...
