(Home) disconnecting binger - I found it in Ace Answers

Thanks for this site.
I opened my eyes and looked under BOK section, Electrical, Warning lights, Binger and low and behold ...the detailed answers to my questions were there.
Moral of the story...I should open my eyes.
Thanks,
Regards, Roman

Help,
You have done a better job than me, I cant find whereabouts the BOK section is? Is it on this website or in the Instruction Manual, I am feeling very stupid...
Either this annoying contraption gets disconnected or the van will have to go!
I would be grateful if you could enlighten me please..
Many Thanks
Peter

Peter. Click on the Ace Answers logo above, then on "Dashboard & electrics" then on "Warnings" and you will see, in the right hand pane, a list of subjects, one of which is "Bing Bing at 105 mph". This tells you all about how to remove it and there is even a link to a picture to show you what it looks like

Hello John,
Thanks for your help, unfortunately, clicked on Ace Answers, then Dashboard and Electrics, but there was no subsection for warnings, only warning symbols and all this displayed was pictures of dashboard warning symbols, could do with more info please.
God I feel really thick....
Peter

No, nothing thick about it. I think many of us find spanners much easier to handle than PC's
You almost got there, ie, Ace Answers, Dashboard & electrics, then Warnings. Above, and to the right of the picture of the dashboard symbols, you should see a list of items which you can open up by clicking on the required one.

Yes I can now speed excessively (as much as 90 bhp wil allow) without worrying about that annoying "Ding - ding - ding"
It was screwed on the backside of my instrument cluster exactly as this site describes.
To get at it the dash cover comes off (2 screws and 4 clips) and the instrument cluster has to be removed (4 more screws).
Disconnect the speedo cable and the 3 wire harness connectors attached to the back of the instrument cluster to get it out.
Then simply unscrew the little bastard off the back and remember to put all screws back in once this little relay is removed to keep all electrical connections complete.

Sounds worse than it is. 15 - 20 minutes tops.
I can breathe a sigh of relief.
