on my 86 cruiser the side cruisers are all one panel from top off car to the bottom so there are no sills as soutch I have filled mine with fibre class and body filler and this is ok for mot(apart from one place in telford)

Yes the whole panel comes as one fron sill to gutter door to rear door, if you can afford it!
I had the rot cut out and just some plates welded on. Looked ok once a top coat was splashed over.
If you mean the black cover underneath, just make a new one and bolt it on?

Clive, have you ever looked into repair panels from pop-on or any of the other suppliers? The Spacie *might've* been popular enough to warrant it...

clive what ndo you mean by black cover underneath?

When I looked about 5 years ago no preformed panels available not even glass fibre ones, may have changed since then but I doubt it.
The black tin plate type cover over the bottom of the rear heater, just behind the mud flap and before the battery box bottom, which also unbolts. Guessed at that from Paul's post. I think he also wants the internal plastic grill?

hi thanx for replying bad news then about the sills then.nevermind i have a mate whos a wizard with filler.about the cover it was all metal but obviously badly corroded.and it just leaves the heater fan casing (white thing) showing.oh now for a new prob the kids managed to pull the sliding door of the hinges is there an easyer way of putting it back on without removing the bottom runner and the sliding bracket.as it really did my head in last night trying to put the thing back on in the dark. cheers and keep on cruisin safely. paul

paul might be worth starting a new thread about breaks to make it more visable on the board
sorry I do not know enough about breaks to advise
