OK here is my problem. I am trying to change the timing belt on my Toyota LiteAce L reg(94) and I have hit a problem. The Timing belt has a few slits in it and teeth missing and is unusuable and the bottom bolt has been rounded off to an extent where nothing will grip it to move it. Any ideas on how to get it out???
The car can not go anywhere as the timing belt is naffed and I dont want to have to rebuild it all.
HELP me please.
Thanks
G.

mmmh Not an easy solution.
First option as the edges of the bolt are turned - hammer a socket of slightly smaller size on.
Second option could be - get a bolt of similar head size cut the head off and get someone to MIG weld it onto the existing one - You'd need to remove the front radiator to make sufficient room to do, both the above.
Last resort - Hammer and chisel the bolt in the direction to loosen it.
