You could give the exhaust a good shake to see if its contacting anything......
Otherwise could be a number of things....loose gearbox / engine mounts, drive train play / drive shaft,....as its after you have braked suppose it may be worth checking all the hardware on the brakes, locking pins etc. on front pads, springs and clips securing rear shoes etc.....also check to see there is no unnescessary play in the wheel bearings...

Does it drive in a straight line ok with no wobble etc??..or pull on braking???

to chris turner.
car drives ok no wobble or pulling noise seems to be coming from mid to front underside sounds like more of a cracking sound as if something sticks on and then releases as soon as i pull away .!!!

I should think that you have a sticking brake caliper BUT, you don't say which vehicle you have. Is it a 4WD and are the hubs locked and the 4WD button depressed ? If so, they should'nt be.

I had one sticky piston/caliper at the rear....it was pretty obvious though as it nosedived at an odd angle when braking...and ripped the antiroll bar clip on the rear axle eventually...I'd check the exhaust and gearbox / engine mounts...then work your way through the list...drivetrain, brakes etc......
