Can you help with my latest problem?

The rear roof on my Hiace won't raise. When you push the button a solanoid clicks but nothing else happens...

Where should I start to look?

You should hear the motor whirring away. If not then this could be your first place to look (but don't ask me where it is).

No whir.... no nothing!! Just one click and that's your lot....

i had a similar problem with my cruiser moonroof.

it opened but would not close.

the control panel just pulls out and the motor is up behind this panel.

the switch can be disconected from the motor and removed, i suggest you examine this switch as the little copper contacts inside were not going down enough in my case to make contact and a little bend soon cured this.

if it is the motor then the roof trim must be removed to get to it.
